​Right-to-Know

Open Records Information under the Right-to-Know Law
Requests and access under the Right-to-Know (Open Record) Law shall be governed by the law
itself (Act 3 of 2008), as well as the Capital Area Intermediate Unit’s (CAIU’s) Board Policy #801 regarding Right-to-Know.

Written Requests:
To make an open records request, Requestor can make a request in writing, using the CAIU RTK Request Form or the Standard Right-to-Know Request Form prescribed by the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records.
Please note: Phone requests will NOT be accepted.
     
Associated Fees:
Copying/Duplicating fees and postage costs will be assessed on the Requestor, as allowed by Section 1307 of Act 3. CAIU shall use the Fee Schedule established by the Office of Open Records.
 
Requestor shall pay all fees prior to CAIU releasing them to Requestor. Requestor’s refusal to pay these fees will result in CAIU making them available for review only.
