HELP US SHOW APPRECIATION FOR OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS!
School board members are the unsung heroes of public education. As January is School Board Recognition Month, we want to acknowledge our Board of Directors and demonstrate our appreciation, thanking them for all the time and effort they dedicate in support of education in Dauphin, Perry, Cumberland and northern York County schools.
School Board members serve in a number of ways: As advocates, fighting for quality, equitable educational opportunities for all students; as elected officials, giving voice to their communities; as leaders, providing governance, direction, advice and wisdom. The success of CAIU as a regional educational agency begins with the School Board.
Special note is given to the fact that as volunteers, our Board Members give innumerable hours to meetings here and in their districts advocating for public education. Particularly now, volunteering to be a school board member can be challenging but nevertheless vital role, leading our schools as they prepare the next generation for adulthood.
Even though we are celebrating the Board Members’ contributions to CAIU in January, we recognize their efforts are a year-round obligation. Our organization benefits every day from the time and energy dedicated by our Board Members. The CAIU is very fortunate to have such thoughtful and committed community members leading and supporting our organization. We could not successfully carry out our mission to achieve educational excellence with families, schools and communities through leadership, partnership and innovation without their governance and support.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
