The Capital Area Intermediate Unit partners with Substitute Teacher Services (STS) to fill our substitute teachers and paraprofessionals needs. STS is a seasoned educational staffing agency dedicated to providing Pennsylvania certified/emergency certified substitute professionals and trained paraprofessionals to school districts. The current daily rate for para-professionals is $88 and $115 for teacher substitutes. 

The CAIU is specifically in need of Pennsylvania Special Education certificated substitute teachers. If you have your Special Ed certification and would like to be a substitute for the CAIU, please contact STS today!
