Evaluation:
An evaluation is completed in order to determine eligibility for early intervention services. Depending on your child’s needs, an evaluation may include developmental testing, audiological testing, deaf and hard of hearing assessment, speech and language evaluation, occupational therapy evaluation, physical therapy evaluation, vision screening or psychological assessment. The evaluation may also include informal evaluations such as an observation of your child’s play skills, input from your child’s pre-school or daycare, and an intake, which allows parents to provide information about the child's medical and developmental history along with current developmental strengths and areas of concern. An Evaluation Report is written as an outcome of the assessment.
