Deaf or Hard of Hearing

The Deaf or Hard of Hearing school age classroom program has several classes which support students K-21. School age classes offer instruction in academics and communication skills as outlined in the student's IEP. As appropriate, students are included in regular education classes (academic & non-academic) with a qualified sign language interpreter. In addition to academic opportunities, the classroom program provides experiences for students to develop pre-vocational, vocational, and independent living skills. Communication plans are generated for each student in order to support his/her language and communication development including any assistive devices needed.
