The following type of services can be provided by CAIU social work staff

• MDE/IEP participation
• Counseling (group/individual)
• Ongoing Home-School-Community-Agency Liaison and support for an individual student or dedicated time to support the district liaison
• Parent contacts regarding counseling, behavioral support, referral to agencies, medication needs, etc.
• Classroom Management
• Crisis Management
• Approved Private School involvement
• Case Management/Follow-Up
• Social history updates
• In service/Staff Development Activities related to student specific supports/services outlined in the types of services provided by social work staff
• Behavioral observations of students
• Consultation regarding behavioral support, de-escalating situations, etc.
• Parent Counseling/Training
• Other services that may fall within the scope of the training of individual social workers can be developed with social worker input. These include experiential education and learning programs.
